Rag & Bone Overstock Sale

— Tue, 30th November 2010 —

Thursday through Sunday, 12/2-12/5, Chelsea Market is hosting Rag & Bone‘s F/W overstock/sample sale featuring up to 70% off, well, here‘s exactly what the last sale offered in terms of selection and pricing — the lump sum of which many readers weren’t too pleased with. Oh, and these guys always kick off a day early (Wednesday, 12/1), and keep a very liberal door policy.

Rag & Bone Sample Sale – Chelsea Market – 75 9th btwn 15th & 16th – Wed-Fri 10:30am-8pm, Sat 12pm-7pm, Sun 12pm-5pm – Map

  1. Not a huge Rag & Bone fan but thought I’d drop today when it opened. Overall, very meh.

    Prices as follows:
    Acessories – $65
    Shirts – $115
    Jackets/Coats – $250
    Coats/Outerwear – $350
    Chunky/Cashmere Sweaters – $350

    Prices didn’t seemed justified.

  2. wow. thats really suprising. I was at this exact sale last year and the prices were wayy better. i got a leather jacket for 395. sweaters were like 150, 200 tops.

  3. stopped by just now… found a shirt and a sweater i liked, but EVERYTHING was in size L. too bad for those of us who are size S.

  4. For sweaters their Medium and some of the Large ones actually fit like Small.

I got a pair of jeans, a sweater, a scarf and a pair of gloves…

  5. Picked up a nice trench coat for $250 and a shirt for about $100.. they had quite a few size Smalls actually contrary to what the above person said. However lack of sizes across a more broad range of items was noticeable. Smalls were mostly just in the button downs.

  6. Took a trip over and it was pretty underwhelming. Prices have definitely gone up compared to previous years (maybe that’s to be expected, but it annoys me anyway). Pants were $125 and denim was $95. Some of the pants/jeans were great quality, but mostly they seemed like leftovers. Great selection of ties, though, for $35 each. Not a lot in size S, but there are a few pieces here and there.

  7. Umm, what kind of sample sale has pieces for $175 a pop. Cmon, who priced these items? I saw alot of folks milling around but I doubt they are going to forkover 175 for a dress. I will check them out when they slash the prices to what these clothes should have been in the first place.

  8. You know, for what Rag & bone were selling, those prices are ridiculous. I saw a waxed cotton jacket, one layer, no lining for $350. Sure, it’s made in the US, but you can buy a Filson or Barbour for that price, and you know what? It comes with a lifetime warrantee. A coat for life.

Honestly, where do these people get off?

  9. i thought the sale was very good if you like r&b. took some time sorting through, but staff were helpful finding sizes. yeah, prices were not bargain basement, but around 2/3 off full price on most items. i scored a couple of jackets, two ties, a shirt and a pair of trousers, all in standard sizes (medium, 40).
