Very Private Ralph Lauren Sale

— Wed, 10th November 2010 —

Today and tomorrow, 11/10-11/11, Soiffer Haskin is hosting a very private Ralph Lauren friends & family sale, featuring up to 80% off tons of F/W stock. Know, however, that the chances of getting inside without an official pass are slim to none. The lucky few can expect to find mostly medium-fit wovens for $25-$35; sweaters for $35-$60; Lauren brand ties for $5; RRL jeans for $25; sterling silver cuff-links for $25; …

Ralph Lauren Private Sale – Soiffer Haskin – 317 W 33rd btwn 8th & 9th – 9am-6pm Daily –  Map

  1. Word from a friend at RL is that the markdowns can be fantastic…people line up as early as 4 am to get into this one, but they are indeed very strict about requiring invitations.

If you do go, be aware that some garments are not first quality but may not be flagged as such…

  2. Just came back from the sale. Got some silver cufflinks for $25. Lots of RLX across the board – shorts/t-shirts/polo’s go for $15-$25. Crazy looking outerwear – not worth the time. Lots of woven – ranging from PL, BL, Polo (90%), RRL for $25-$35. If you’re not a medium of some sort, probably not worth your time. Shoes are on the pricier range and all size 9’s.

  3. What does “Lauren brand ties” refer to? Are you talking about “Lauren by Ralph Lauren” (crummy licensed stuff for discount stores) or Polo/Black Label/Purple Label?

  4. What does the official pass look like? How stringent are they at the entrance?

  5. I had a pass – which they collected. It’s a rectangular piece of cardboard that is orange/green – I think last season it was red/blue. They are pretty strict about the pass – I go first thing in the am, but I think they get lax as the day goes on.

  6. All, please update if one is successful in gaining access this pm sans said pass. Enquiring minds want to know (and go for that matter)…

  7. I second Steve’s motion.
For those who have gone, is there any mens purple and black label?

  8. There are a couple Purple Label jackets there.
And by couple I mean 2.
I bought one with a brilliant turnback cuff detail on the sleeves for $200.
There were a couple of Black Label jackets as well including a deliriously green corduroy one. It seriously looked like something Green Lantern would wear to a board meeting.
Some good deals but you have to dig and dig and dig.
No chance you get in without a pass.
Also the line is HOURS long.

  9. I got in, he asked me for a pass, I told him I left it at home, he knew I was lol

A lot of beige/white pants for $25, a nice suede purple label jacket for $250, most of the goods were gone.
