Jon Ashe Sample Sale & Exclusive Deal

— Tue, 15th February 2011 —

We’re pretty excited about this one. Haberdasher Jon Ashe — which The Times recently credited with “bringing back a sleeker and more understated version of heritage chic” — is hosting a sample sale this weekend. Better yet, Beggar readers are being invited to drop by a day early — Friday, 2/18 Thursday night, 2/17, before 8:30 p.m. — and the first 20 guys who mention “The Beggar” at checkout are guaranteed 20% off any and all non-sale items. Pretty generous considering Ashe’s non-samples never go on sale.

  1. I went yesterday. It is a true sample sale so it is a small selection but great deals if they fit you.

  2. I was VERY impressed with this shop. The two guys running the store were very friendly and helpful–on a number of occasions pointing out issues with clothing I was considering (rather than parroting “that looks great on you” in an attempt to get me to make a purchase). I ended up walking out with a spectacular cashmere scarf at 50% off, and one of their samples–a brown camel hair jacket (without any pockets–no kidding about the “sample” thing) that is comfortable enough that I could sleep in the damn thing and feel like I’d gotten proper value out of it given how cheap it was.

I will, without a doubt, be back for more from Jon Ashe.

  3. I agree with Will above, great stuff, very helpful staff. The staff actually talked me out of getting a sample jacket because the length was just a little too long. Very high quality clothes all made in NYC.
