Friday and Saturday, 3/18-3/19, Patrik Ervell is hosting his semiannual sample sale on Howard Street, adjacent to Opening Ceremony HQ. Ervell’s sales are notorious for getting cherry-picked in the first hour, and don’t expect any restocking. Also, in the three years we’ve covered these events, Ervell has never hosted a pre-sale.

Along with various one-off pieces, here’s the best of what to expect on Friday in sizes XS-XL… but mostly M.

Patrik Ervell Sample Sale – 35 Howard St between Broadway & Crosby – Suite 4B, Buzzer #4 – 12pm-6pm daily – Cash Only – 646-912-9083 – Map

  1. To the team at the Beggar,
I go to most sales, am a good searcher on the Bay for deals and am a sartorially inclined 23 year-old who works in retail.
I saw you guys tweet about if anyone was interested in joining the team to contact you. I am interested.

  2. You guys are the only way I hear about these awesome sales. Keep up the great work, and pass on any Ervell news you hear!

  3. Ditto what Owen said. By the way, seems to be a bunch of stuff happening at Chelsea Market today. I think there’s yet another James Perse sale (they can’t seem to get rid of that stuff), and then there’s a Prive sample sale in the former 202 space. They had a Prive sale going last week that had a bunch of Hyden Yoo stuff (among other less interesting brands), so there may be some more.

  4. Apparently, there are about 25 people standing in line on the stair way, and the line doesn’t seem to be moving at all.

  5. And there were about the same amount of people who came but didn’t wanna stand in line.

  6. 90% of the pieces are M, pants are mostly 32/34, and by 1 PM, the sale already seemed very picked over as expected.

  7. Went at 12:30 line about 10 deep. Took me about 20 to get in and when I left there was no longer a line. Like five shirts were left which was pretty depressing. Seemed like they had a lot of shoes left Clarks, Sperry’s and Dr. Martens (didn’t check sizes cause they all looked way to big for me). Bunch of blazers in size 40 and 42, lots of Mao jackets in M like one in each material (gray wool, blue wool, navy heavy cotton, teal heavy cotton, etc.). Pants mostly 32’s. Killer cashmere grey flecked pants, but not my size in 32. They said they are not re-stocking. Pretty picked over, but if you like the Mao jackets there were a bunch when I left from $150 – $200 depending on the material.
