Late breaking news for our West Coast readers,

As usual, the Steven Alan Sample Sale does not fail to disappoint if you are looking for one of their famous button-down long sleeve ($78) or short sleeve ($68) shirts.  The selection was in full effect, with shirts ranging from the plain, printed, plaid to chambray.  Although is it June in Southern California, it wouldn’t hurt to stock up on some outwear from flannels ($78), sweaters ($45), to full on rain gear and wool pea coats ($175).  Accessories that you should keep in your closet for some months were also available, like beanies, scarves, and leather gloves (all $25).  A rack full of SA’s collaboration with Shuttle Notes (which produced a great selvedge western shirt) were marked at $30.  As tradition with SA sample sales, a plethora of Generic Man sneakers were available, each pair going for $25 and a healthy selection of Relwen and Rogan apparel was also available.

Aside from the normal SA garb, what was really surprising was the amount and variety of other labels.  What was even more surprising was the cost!  “Sweat” shorts ($24) and t-shirts ($12) by Canada’s Wings + Horns, Ripstop Desert Pants ($39), Norwegian Army Shorts ($34) and henleys ($25) by Engineered Garments, western shirts ($37) by RRL, Woolrich Woolen Mills shawl jackets were $78 and Post O’ Alls Engineer Jackets were $65 (if you can pull of the pink color).  Summer tees from Loomstate, RRL and Rogue Gallery were also spotted for $11 each.  A fantastic Nike ACG heavy parka in camouflage was marked as $80 (original price was $400).  Aside from Steven Alan bottoms, a pretty good number of Lee 101 Selvedge denim was available for $52 and Acne black and grey jeans were $46.  These items were pretty limited in quantity and sizes so it would be in your best interest to get over there ASAP!

No Common Projects this time around for footwear, but in its place SA decided to include Quoddy moccasins and boat shoes, ranging from $70 – $80.  Also bringing moccasins and boat shoes was SA sample sale favorite NDC ($95).  A number of Vans ($25) were in stock, including the relatively new Vans x Filson collaboration.  New to the SA sample sale was Nike, whose Court Forces and Blazers went anywhere from $20 – $65.
Be sure to head down to the sale to catch some awesome deal for yourself, or if you are a good son (or daughter), pick something up for your dad…you should know why.

Thanks Conroy!
