Better than Barney’s, though a limited selection.
I grabbed an R&B tie and polo and a pair of summer weight APC petite standards for $120.
The selection of worthwhile stuff will probably run out EOD.
what does the shoe selection look like? worth taking a look at?
those apc petite standards are absurd. very spandexy, to each their own. i picked up a pair of rachel comey oxfords and three pairs of merino wool happy socks for a grand total of $64. the rest of the shoes and clothes were so-so. a lot of it was gaudy. cheesy graphic tees. decent jean/pants selection. worth checking out. oh, some decent looking belts and those hipster straw fedora hats if that’s your thing.
scoop has the worst mens selection in nyc…i cant believe they still do mens clothing. these sales are horrible.
and yeah, ‘summer’ apc jeans are ridiculous.
i agree sam. cheap rachel comey derringers made it worth my while though.
Absurd is wearing raw denim all summer long just to adhere to some hipster fashion code.

I stopped by this afternoon. Note that the men’s sale section is in Scoop and not the Scoop Men store. Not a bad sale. 50% off the already marked down price. Some decent Steven Alan shirts for $40. Also some weird John Varvatos see-through shirts in XL if that’s your thing.

I go to this sale every season and I think this is the worst one I’ve been to.
as of yesterday, they had size 8 Rachel Comey shoes on display. i bought a pair of 9′s. that’s all the info i know.
I tried on the Comeys but they felt really cheap. I mean, it’s $50 but why own it. Was on the fence about a shirt I liked but what tipped me to not buying was the idea of crossing the city with a “scoop” bag.
Most things that were popular brands had roughly the same price as at the Saks sale in late July.

the shoes are not at all cheaply made. that’s a ridiculous statement. also, the bag that they give you does not say scoop on it. it’s completely blank.
I’ll try not to get in an anonymous quality argument but I agree in my hands they looked/felt nice but walking in them felt like something from macys. Maybe just too soft for my taste. I was being sarcastic about the bag, but good to know anyway
