Rag & Bone Overstock sale

— Tue, 29th November 2011 —

Thursday through Sunday, 12/1-12/4, Chelsea Market is hosting another Rag & Bone overstock/sample sale featuring up to 70% off F/W wares. Here and here‘s what readers had to say about past events. These guys always kick off a day early  — that means Wednesday, 11/30 — and keep a loose door policy.

Rag & Bone Overstock/Sample Sale – Chelsea Market – 75 9th btwn 15th & 16th – Thurs-Fri 10:30am-8pm, Sat 12pm-7pm, Sun 12pm-5pm – Map

  1. This sale has always sucked. Cheaper at Barney’s when they’re on sale.

  2. If anyone goes today, can you check for a grey plaid Danbury blazer with subtle blue checks, thanks so much

  3. @sam – I just saw that exact danbury blazer on eBay. Someone in NYC is selling it. Looks like you can make an offer on it rather than buying it at the full auction listing price. I’ve had decent luck with that.

  4. Thanks, I just saw what you are referring to, the guy wants 900 and is selling it as a suit. I sent him a message requesting just the jacket and I said I could pick it up fom him in NY, so we will see what happens. Crossing my fingers, thanks Rober!

  5. Looks like the sale is setting up early (as in today, Wednesday, rather than tomorrow, which is the official start), but it doesn’t appear to be open to the public. Just employees so far. Will probably open to the public later in the day.

  6. does anyone know if this sale is open to the public today? or at least they let non-employees in today??

  7. In the past, I have just walked in the day before, but usually in the afternoon, the first time, fortuitously stumbling upon the sale after getting a haircut. But I would be curious to know if it is still opening up a day early today. I spoke with someone at one of the stores who said it was employees and employees’ friends only, but I have not found that to be the actual policy the previous two times I showed up the day prior. Any reports of being able to just walk in?

  8. Sale was open to the public by noon. It quickly got crazy. Prices are just like last time. Must say, this sale had the best selection of any R&B sale I’ve been to. Lots of shirts, jackets, pants, shoes, knits, accessories, etc, and I noticed that almost all sizes were available (didn’t see that Danbury blazer though). Picked up a scarf and a tie.

  9. Tey have a pretty good selection in my opinion. Some suits but in the bigger side.

    Shirts were $98, pants 125, sweaters 150, jackets 250, ties 35.

There are some current season items like most of the r&b stuff that Saks currently carries.

  10. Selection was nice. Prices suck. The one thing besides ties and accessories I felt was attractively priced were the knits. $40 for a t-shirt is neither here nor there, but for a quality henley / polo, it’s not bad.

    Unsanforized
