The Hill-Side & Hickoree’s Rummage Sale

Why, right this minute, wouldn’t you want to be sailing off the coast of Corsica? Because, then you’d miss The Hill-Side & Hickoree’s Rummage Sale, this weekend! Beginning Friday, from 5pm-8pm, come for the beer and stay for what we’re told will be “a ton great pieces, including prior seasons’ samples, factory seconds, press sample, and unique prototypes that were never produced.” The Hill-Side ties and scarves will go for a mere $20 each, while bandanas and pocket squares will go for $10. Also expect a Hickoree’s “rummage sale” area with discounts of up to 80% off overstock.

***Plus (!) – The first 20 guys who mention “The Beggar” at checkout are guaranteed an additional 20% off all purchases!***

  10. Decent selection of ties and scarves but they went quick and only a small table that you had to fight to get to. Some Japanese guys hoarding loads and loads of stuff so a little unfair. They said they might restock Hillside this weekend depending on how tonight goes.

  11. Still a good selection of ties when I left at 6:30. No scarves or pocket squares. They did go very quickly. Cashier told me there won’t be any re-stocking. Not sure which is true.

  12. This was a ridiculously feeding frenzy. They let all 50 or so people who were waiting online in at once.

  16. I went Friday. I think it was great. They have everything you can see on the website with an additional 10%. Also a rack with deeply discounted older season stuff. Plus the staff is really nice. Thanks beggar and hickorees!

  17. I don’t know, I was underwhelmed. The prices just aren’t that great for the level of merchandise. It’s a “sale”, but not a “sample sale”. For instance, they’ve got the Folk “baker’s jacket” for about $159, with an additional 10% off. The jacket is nice, one is tempted, but you take a closer look and the pockets are ungapotchkied and the whole thing is too redolent of the Midwestern turds masquerading as early-20th-Century French-socialist folk musicians who have overrun and culturally destroyed Williamsburg. For $70, I could ignore the cognitive dissonance and make it work, but not for ~$140.

  18. Correction: Universal Works makes the “Baker’s Jacket”.

  20. Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with
hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
many months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to stop
    hackers?
