Brace yourselves… for the biggest (and most criticized) sale of the year. No, Barneys Warehouse Sale isn’t coming to NYC until later this month, but, according to Racked.com, Barneys plans to kick off the online portion of the sale (yes, there’s an online portion, this year) tomorrow morning, 8/2, at 9am. No official confirmation from Barneys on that, and Racked.com wasn’t loading as of Wednesday afternoon — likely due to a flood of interest in the report.

The sale is up and running. The prices do not seem much different from the last regular sale. You need to sign up for their mailing list to get into the sale today.
I accidentally stumbled upon it last night at midnight. The prices are exactly the same as the prices at the end of season sale. There is some additional selection, like a lot more shoes, but I’m still waiting for the actual warehouse sale.
Was anyone able to get anything? I tried ordering a Lanvin Tie and an Etro pocket square turns out that I kept getting an error during check out, but when I checked my bank account BW charged my card like 15 times…
Some awesome bargains online today (August 20). Just got a pair of Rachel Comey shoes for $90.
Any word on the actual warehouse sale going down tomorrow? The online stuff is pretty cheap- 80% off for most. Does the actual sale pick up from there, or are the prices going to start from the normal crap 50% discount?
I’m surprised there’s no separate info on TCB for the retail location sale starting tomorrow…
The in-person sale always starts with the end of the season discounts. Usually 50-60% off. Eventually they start knocking more and more off. But they gotta get those tourists on the first few days. I would bet that’s what they will do tomorrow.
Is anyone keeping up with the sales at TCB? or is there a better site for that?
did a quick drive by of the in store sale yesterday. not a ton to write home about, but i find there are always more big ticket items for the fall/winter version anyway. shoes were particularly weak.
quick denim note: there were several pairs of apc jeans that were “damaged” but were only really worn once and returned. didn’t check the prices but i’m sure they are well below $100 for a great pair of denim.
I thought this was the worst BWS ever. Online sale really had some decent stuff, even at clearance time. But there was nothing even tempting Thursday.
