Anecdote for the uninitiated: We hit the Levi’s Made & Crafted / Vintage Clothing sample sale on Wednesday, a day before the event was scheduled to begin. While leisurely shopping the most amazing deals on the finest denim, a helpful host mentioned that some Beggars had dropped by earlier in the day, and had each made a killing. What’s more, the guy couldn’t have been happier about it — “Eight big sales!” he said, adding that he was under considerable pressure to make room for Spring ’13. Mind you, there was never any official pre-sale, and our host could just as easily have told those early shoppers (and us) to f*ck off. The point here is that successful sale shopping requires a little risk taking, and you can’t always follow the official line. Oh, and as helpful as they can be, you can’t rely on a post’s comments, either. As you can see here, not a one of those gumptious, trigger-happy shoppers took the time to mention their respective killings.

Lots and lots of Acne and Nudie denim, fair amount of Acne/Nudie shirts in plaids, etc.. A couple decent racks of Arc’teryx. A couple tables of ‘Want’ bags and other accessories. The Maison Kitsune stuff was very nice; the pants are size 30 and shirts are M. SWIMS of many varieties, including winter boots? All said, I thought it was worth the trip if you’re a 30/M/shoe size 9ish. oh, and CASH ONLY.

Arc’teryx were M I believe. They only had one or two of about 3-4 .
Looked like most Acne pants/denim were $50. Didn’t look too closely at Nudie.
Maison Kitsune had a few slim 40R suits for between $685-$800. Button downs were $150. Awesome size 30 denim were $140 but only a few pairs.
Just stopped by. Here’s what I remember:
Best deals were on Nudie jeans ($50-$75) and Nudie shirts ($50). Some dry denim. Mostly Slim Jim but some other fits also. Arctyrex pants – $125. Swims boots/shoes $50-$100
Most stuff i liked was expesive: Maison Kitsune sweaters $270. WLE bags between $500 and $700.
only a couple or racks.. not worth the trip imo
want lest essentiels bags were way overpriced. Wait for Barneys sale season and you can cop for cheaper.

arcteryx jackets are mad old. $150-$350 jacket. not cheap.
