Hugo Boss HQ – 601 W 26th St btw 11th & 12th – Suite 845 – Tues-Thurs 9:30-5:30, Fri 9:30am-4pm – Map

  1. Anyone go to last year’s/season’s sale?

    What’s the verdict on this?

  2. I usually always go….. Haven’t had time yet, but I heard the last sale had a bunch of people buying everything on site for eBay reselling

  3. Would you wear their suits? I’m looking for a suit, i’m not 9-5 worker. The only other suit I own is paul smith but i need a new one, any recommendations?

  4. they had signs by check-out this time, with limits for buying (i think 3 bags, 5 shoes, and ? ties), but not sure if they were enforcing. prices at bit high on the first day, $55 for shirts, almost $200 for blazers, $295 for suits; trousers/jeans were a nice deal at just $40. sandals ($20 — there were none tho), sneakers ($45), dress shoes ($60), boots ($75). quite a lot of stuff to sift through. they usually drop prices on ready-to-wear toward the end, but iirc shoes remained at about the same price.

  5. Curious – If you have only one suit, Hugo Boss is likely not the one to buy. The quality is not nearly to the level of your PS.

Carmel – I do not think they make clothing in Germany anymore, eastern europe and south east asia for the most part.

  6. It is hard to walk out empty handed. I got a polo for $30 and a great windbreaker for $65. Tons of shirts casual and dress
    Mostly m-l
The 2 guys ahead of me bought $1000 worth of stuff each. Just go with time to try things on

  7. Unlike the other guy I walked out of there empty handed. Unless you’re going there looking for something specific there wasn’t anything that I really wanted. Wasn’t much left in shoes except for some sneakers. No sandals left. Most of the suits and sport coats were 40R. Not sure if they’re going to reduce prices on the last day because sign before you walk in says no further reductions.

  8. $1000 of Hugo Boss clothing? This is the brand for people who think they are fashionable but not really

  9. This ranks with Paul Smith for me. I have lost trust in Paul Smith over the years as they cut corners on construction and materials.

Most of my Paul Smith mainline, PS and other suits have become unwearable due to gluing coming off, buttons breaking, and seams coming off.

I do miss their friends and family sample sale. $40 shoes and $200 suits….

  10. maybe i’m not so bad anymore…. ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!!

  11. The Paul Smith Suit I have was purchased over 15 yrs ago and it still fits me. I’m sad to hear that their quality has suffered. What suits do you guys wear? I want to buy something that will stand the test of time but not too expensive.

  12. I usually get mine from Bambi’s

Used to go to Martin Greenfielf until i got in to argument about the cut

Still looking fot fabled $1k bespoke with good fabric selection.
