Tuesday, 6/12, Metropolitan Pavilion opened their doors for a Nautica only sample sale, while it’s been over 5 years since the brand hosted a sale without Kipling. Dropping by on the first day, we were happy to see over half the sale dedicated to menswear. We found the initial pricelist to be pretty amazing, with the most expensive products being leather jackets for $125, followed by down jackets for $50, and T-shirts at $5. Unfortunately, there are a few caveats. The majority of the sale consists of sample sizes (medium shirts, 32 x 32 pants) with limited inventory in other sizes; so limited, the sale does not include sizing sorters. There was a small section for big and tall. We arrived at the sale around 6pm yesterday and although there was no trouble getting in, the checkout line was ridiculous. Not sure if resellers are taking advantage, but the line had to be at least 30 people with literally numerous bags of items. You might second guess those 3 shirts you were about to purchase if the line is that crazy, but this also could be the first day rush. Whether you need new work shirts or trying to get into throwback 90’s fashion, if you’re a medium we definitely recommend checking it out.
