Thursday thru Sunday, 5/10-5/13, CP Fashion Group will host a designer clearance sale featuring luxury brands Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Prada and more. Gentlemen should expect an offering of shoes and accessories all up to 90% off retail.

It was mandatory we stopped by the first Helmut Lang sample sale of the year on the first day. If you’ve followed us last year, you know there were multiple Helmut Lang sample sales last year with different host, Clothingline and Prive. The sale has finally landed back at 260 Sample Sale. Although prices at Clothingline and Prive previous sales may have been a bit better, 260 Sample Sale definitely wins with the selection. The sale consists of very recent or current collections, including some of Helmut Lang’s more edgy pieces and not the traditional slacks and button-ups. Sizing varied depending on the product, and for the most part what was on the floor is what is available unless they receive a shipment.

Day 2 of Rebecca Minkoff’s week long sample, we visited 260 Sample Sale to check out the selection for guys. Nestled in the back left corner, away from the majority of the craziness, we found the offering for the gentlemen. As expected, there were bags, accessories, and shoes available. Bags included totes, messenger bags, back packs, duffel bags, weekenders, nap-sacks, and laptop bags. As far as accessories, we found a lot of drop kits, wallets, passport holders, and card holders. We did a quick comparison to what’s available on Rebecca Minkoff’s site and found few of the products online that were at the sample, so either they are past season or true samples. If you looking for a quality bag, this sale is a go. The frustrating part is, this is a very popular sale for the ladies and you may have to wait in line just to get to the relatively quiet section of the sale.

The Arrivals surprises us with a one-day studio sample sale on Wednesday, 5/9. No word on the selection and prices, but it’s the perfect after work trip to Union Square. We’ll be sure to update as information is known.
