The Prada sale runs through Friday, but it’s no longer (maybe never was) worth the hike over to 11th Ave. We dropped by Sunday night and were told that about 3 of the roughly 200 guys who came through during the day found something to buy. There never were any shoes for the guys. What apparel there was is basically gone.

We just checked out the Patrik Ervell samle sale and so should you if only for his superb knits on offer for $200 and under. They’re worth much more. And Patrik’s there. The jackets and coats are varied, equally superb in construction, equally well priced at about $200, but, alas, all pretty small –

Freeze you ass off waiting in line for two hours at the Prada sale, or warm up by the fire with Duckie Brown designers Steven and Daniel in the Penthouse of The Royalton Hotel, where they’re hosting a sample sale until 5pm. (For the record, they’re the nicest guys on the planet.)

The jackets and suits are amazing, and still a deal at about $500. Alas, they’re only available in bonafide sample sale sizes, i.e., medium –
