Our favorite quote from one Hermès shopper: “I saw some dude fondling his new tie the other day on Broadway … Except he had taken it out of a Century 21 bag! Sign of the times.”

Right now, stock up on disposable sweaters at the Gap where fall’s first shipment is being marked down by 40%. We’re not saying these things will keep their shape of their color for long, but, for $20, who cares.

And, the Gap’s one Beggar-approved piece this season — that comfy blue herringbone blazer — has been marked down from $90 to a mere $60.
