Yesterday, 3/19, 260 Sample Sale hosted a VIP preview for Reiss before opening doors to the public. We found the sale to be pretty consistent with previous Reiss sales but selection geared toward the colder seasons. There are more jackets and coats compared to few shorts and more long sleeved shirts and sweaters than short sleeve and polos. One thing we’ve noticed is if you take a look at the price list you’ll see “Shirts”, “Tops” and “Knits” and three separate prices points. These categorizations can be unclear to the point sales associates don’t know how they’re classified, leaving you to be surprised at the register. The same goes for jacket/coat categorizations. If you are indifferent about the current prices we typically see prices decrease as the sale progresses, so wait later in the week to attend.

It’s like you blink and the weekend is over, luckily we had Ghurka’s sample sale to look forward to early Monday morning. We visited the sale at opening time to see the full offering and starting discount prices. Soiffer Haskin is pretty strict with photography, so our efforts to capture the selection were limited. The products and prices were similar to previous sales, with two to five color options for some styles. Shoppers will find a few one-off or limited productions styles and colors available. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on when additional discounts will start or what they will be.
