It’s been a while since we’ve visited  260 Sample Sale’s Wooster  St. location and the Osklen + Matsuda eyewear sale provided a great welcome back. Menswear consisted about a third to 40% off  the sale. They were pretty serious with discounts up to 90% off with tees going for $10 and jeans for $20, while prices across all categories are pretty reasonable. There’s also a good amount of spring and summer apparel, with large shorts and tees offering. As you can expect, men really racked up on the first day so it was a noticeably smaller offering when we stopped by in the evening. 260 Sample Sale is typically good with restock, but still a chance offering could be slim by the end of the week. Also, size runs aren’t consistent. Some categories, like long sleeve shirts, have small-large sizes, while in pants we found mostly 40 waist. But this may be attributed to the first day sale rush. We stopped by Soiffer Haskins shortly after doors opened for the Loro Piana sample sale on Sunday. Like most Soiffer Haskins sales, pricing and selection were  pretty consistent with previous events. About half the sale consists of menswear, with the majority of size runs from small to 3XLarge. As of Sunday, discounts were at 40% on almost all products but Monday morning prices have been reduced on select merchandise. Unfortunately, no word on which product and the amount of the reduction. Unless you are huge fan of Loro Piana, you’re better off waiting until discounts are a little deeper.
