Buckler 75% Off

— Thu, 28th January 2010 —

Friday through Sunday, 1/29-1/31, get to Buckler‘s end of season sale for 75% off F/W gear, and previous seasons’ stock. This stuff is too fashiony for some guys. Some swear by Buckler’s denim. Some love it all, and especially at 75% off. Beer will be on tap on Friday night at both locations.

Welcome To The Conversation

If only to hear Suzy Menkes use the word “sucks,” this brief exploration into the impact blogs are having on fashion is worth a watch. Of note, Menkes reminds consumers to remember that bloggers are often partial to particular brands, and increasingly susceptible to “seeding,” i.e., promoting a brand or product at the behest of its maker or marketing team. More broadly, the idea that new platforms and technologies are transforming the marketing mix from monologues to “conversations” is by now well known. Still, I think it’s worth pointing out that this is The Choosy Beggar‘s reason for being — to encourage conversations with a unique focus on value. [Selectism]
