Yoko Devereaux Liquidation Sale

— Mon, 29th June 2009 —

Regrettably, Williamsburg boutique Yoko Devereaux — the purveyor of what Mike Albo recently summed up as “semi-affordable cool-wear for guys coming to the city with an iPod and a dream” — is closing down (due to its parent company’s own financial woes, bla bla bla.) On the sunny side, LIQUIDATION BEGINS TODAY, 6/29 — online and in store.

**Update: The store’s sticking to its guns and not marking down merch until Tuesday, 6/30, at 8am**

Bergdorfs 70% Off

— Fri, 26th June 2009 —

Over the holidays, Saks roused the ire of designers and boutique owners alike when it too hastily cut prices by as much as 80%. It’s now late June, and while neither Saks (nor Barneys) have crossed the 60% mark, Bergdorfs — online and in store — has officially flinched, and cut prices on designer S/S wear by as much as 70%. We can’t wait to see what happens next.
